Check this out! Boss just dropped the GS-1, and while it looks like a premium Japanese electric guitar, the Eurus has a few other tricks up its sleeve. In fact, you're looking at an advanced synthesizer solid-body that's pretty much in a league of its own compared to standard axes. The robust humbucker sounds of both magnetic pickups come alongside a range of well-known high-quality synth sounds, including a number of the Roland subsidiary's illustrious effects pedals. For safe travels, the GS-1 Eurus comes complete with a matching CB-EG10 gig bag.

The Eurus GS-1: Five Guitar Sounds, Six Synth Sounds AND Bluetooth!

Using the 5-way pickup switch, you get to toggle five different magnetic sounds that can be further sculpted to taste using the volume and tone pots. Switching over to the bank of six synth sounds mid-song happens seamlessly and, if you want, you can save up to six different custom synthesised tones. These can then be summoned quickly and effectively using the wireless EV-1-WL wireless expression pedal (not included) and the special smartphone app. Next to cable-free connection via Bluetooth, the GS-1 offers USB-connect for smooth system updates via your Mac or PC.

As much attention as the synth-section rightfully grabs, don't forget that you're essentially looking at an electric solid-body model with the playing comfort and quality of build of a top-tier guitar made in Japan. The slightly off-set body feels snug thanks to the familiar ST-style shape and the forearm bevel, while the velvety satin-gloss coated neck feels like an old friend thanks to its trusty C-profile and the 24 medium jumbo frets and compound radius of the rosewood fretboard. Since all of that combines with ultra-stable SG381 locking tuners and a rock-solid 510F-FE1 tremolo bridge from Gotoh, your riffs, licks and pitch bends will sound tighter than ever.
